Severn Trent announce they will no longer plan for major changes to the Ladybower dams

As part of a national assessment of potential ways to address future water shortages, Severn Trent had been scoping out the possibility of large scale development of the Ladybower, Derwent and Howden reservoir system.  They have now announced that this proposal will not be among those which they are taking to the next stage of potential development.  This decision averts what could have been enormous disruption and loss of invaluable habitats in the national park.  See for more information https://www.cprepdsy.org.uk/news/water-company-puts-damaging-peak-district-reservoir-expansion-plans-on-hold/
