Traffic controls at Mytham bridge

Further programmed work at Mytham bridge will take place to commence on Monday 17th April 2023 and run until Friday 28th April, with traffic signal control. The signals will be in operation continuously over the dates of the works starting from 09:30 on Monday 17th.   The work entails ground investigation and the drilling of 2 boreholes within the carriageway to ascertain the underlying ground makeup and geology of the immediate area. This information will then feed into the next stage and the design of suitable remedial works.

Parking outside Loxley Hall

Parents of children attending the preschool facility at Loxley Hall have raised with us concerns about the difficulty of crossing School Lane safely.  As well as the blind corner onto School Lane, they are concerned that cars parked immediately outside Loxley Hall further block visibility for both drivers and pedestrians.   We are asking the DCC highways team to visit and to assess what actions they recommend to reduce risks.  While we await any action from DCC, can all locals be considerate here - drive very slowly at the corner of School Lane, and if possible, don't park outside Loxley Hall.
