LET’S MAKE HOPE AND ASTON SAFER

Residents of Hope and Aston are invited to join a new programme to protect their property against thieves and reduce theft in the Hope Valley.  There is no cost to the household.

Hope with Aston Parish Council has joined with other parish councils in the Hope Valley, along with Neighbourhood Watch, High Peak Borough Council and the Derbyshire Constabulary, to provide households with SmartWater free of charge.  SmartWater is a sophisticated security system that protects property, deters thieves and helps the police to convict criminals. It is the ideal security addition for your home because it is easy to use, requires no maintenance and will last for many years. Simply apply it to your valuable possessions for long term protection.

Every bottle of SmartWater carries a unique forensic code which is registered to the user’s home address. It only takes seconds to apply, is only visible under ultraviolet (UV) light, won’t leave unsightly marks and marked items are traceable back to their owner. Forensic detection lasts for a minimum of 5 years without re-application, even when used outdoors and, most importantly, criminals know about SmartWater and avoid it.

SmartWater has helped to convict hundreds of criminals. SmartWater has reduced burglary across British communities by as much as 85%, helped clear-up rates and return property to their rightful owners, and that’s the aim for Hope Valley.  To do this we need at least three quarters of the households in Hope and Aston to take up the offer.  When we have 75-80% of households signed up, the Parish Council can get additional funding to purchase all the SmartWater kits to distribute.

If you need it, the Council can help to register your details with SmartWater.

If you have any questions, please contact the Parish Clerk on 07539 717844, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or speak to a Councillor.

So, please sign up so that we can make the Hope Valley safer at no cost to residents. A representative of the Parish Council will call by to collect your form, or you can email the information to the Parish Clerk.
